House Committee Subpoenas Labor Board Officials

Investigation being made over claims that the union election process was manipulated.

The House Education and Labor Committee issued a subpoena to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). Representative Virginia Foxx of North Carolina wrote that the committee had received a letter written in August 2022 from Starbucks to the NLRB, which alleged that NLRB agents manipulated the voting process of the union vote made at the Starbucks store in Overland Park, Kansas.

Congresswoman Foxx wrote that the committee had reason to believe that this accusation was probable, and requested documents from the regional leader of NLRB activities to either confirm the story truth or fiction.

The NLRB is required to provide the documents to the committee by March 29. A spokesperson of the NLRB said that the organization has been working with Congress throughout its involvement in the recent mass unionization of local Starbucks workers.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Representative Foxx as she chairs the House Education and Labor Committee.
  • For Chair Lauren McFarren and the members of the National Labor Relations Board.
  • For the president and his administration to be discerning as they promote unionization.
